About things to do in Hunter Valley

Hi Guys,
Only if you really think about Leura Cascades?! We have more detailed information about Blue Mountains National Park

Something truly special lies within this World Heritage Blue Mountains region that gets into your blood. Could be the mist of eucalyptus oil hanging over the valleys, or the sandstone walls burning orange at dusk while the cockatoos chatter their evening news. Whatever the reason, every time I head west from Sydney Harbour into that hazy blue skyline, I’m reminded why this World Heritage Listed National Park is one of Australia’s most beautiful landscapes.

I’ve been leading tours around these ranges — from famous lookouts like Echo Point to the ancient Jenolan Caves and the wide Megalong Valley — for years, and believe me, the Blue Mountains are more than a day trip. They’re a natural reset button for anyone coming from Sydney, a natural cathedral of sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and gum-scented air.

Just 90 minutes from Circular Quay via the Great Western Highway, the region is part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. It’s over one million hectares of preserved wilderness, stretching all the way to Wollemi National Park. It’s a mix of ancient rock formations, lush forests and deep ravines, home to over 400 species of Australian animals, including lyrebirds, wallabies and the occasional shy dingo.
