It was February 2008, and a girl in Milan complained to police about early-morning noise in her neighborhood. However there was building going on nearby, and the police assumed the noise have to be coming from there. No one thought much about the truth that the woman lived near the world-famous Damiani jewellery showroom till four masked thieves showed up in the shop. The building was secured with a high-tech alarm system and an armed guard at the front door. None of that actually mattered, although, since thieves had been drilling a hole each morning by means of the 4-foot (1.2-meter) wall that separated the showroom basement from the basement subsequent door. Because they had been within the building, they bypassed guards posted on the showroom entrance. Damiani had been making ready for a private exhibiting, so there were no prospects in the showroom; but there was enough staff to open the protected. The thieves were in and out in a half-hour, making off with thousands and thousands of dollars' price of diamond jewelry.
